“The owner has selected a Construction Manager. A timeline for construction has not yet been established.” The Municipality of Skagway is requesting proposals, to support the safety of the use of the Port for cruise vesselsand other users of the Port and ofthe public and community, from qualified Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) firms to provide pre-construction services in collaboration with our design team during Phase 1 of its Rockslide Mitigation Project, including but not limited to cost estimating, value engineering, scheduling, and constructability reviews. The intent is to enhance constructability, identify innovative solutions to reduce cost and accelerate the schedule, develop project phasing strategies, and position the Municipality for a potential construction agreement in Phase 2 with the CM/GC firm. The selected Contractor will join the Municipality ofSkagway and the design team in a "Team-Build" approach to project delivery. The selected Contractor will assist with the final construction drawings prior to starting the project. The Municipality of Skagway is an equal opportunity employer.
