Renovation of a water / sewer project in West Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City is requesting an RFP from qualified contrac-tors for the replacement of the rooftop unit at the City of West Chicago Water Treatment Plant located at 1400 W. Hawthorne Lane, West Chicago, Illinois 60185. The scope of the RTU replacement shall generally include the removal of the two (2) existing 25-Ton units, installation of the two (2) proposed 30-Ton units, and making necessary connections and adjustments to ensure proper operation. Furthermore, the work may involve electrical and mechanical components such as modifications or installation of the curb adapter, electrical connections, mechanical connections, gas piping, controls integration, minor ductwork, testing and commissioning of the proposed RTUs, and other miscellaneous items as required to complete the project. All questions shall be submitted electronically in writ-ing to Dave Shah at DShah@westchicago.org on or before 12:00 PM on August 21, 2025. The City of West Chicago reserves the right to reject any proposals or to waive any technicalities, discrepancies, or information in the RFP. The City does not discriminate in admission, access to, treatment, or employment in its programs and activities. It is the responsibility of the individual contractor to meet all requirements from the Request for Proposal All work shall be completed by June 30, 2026, pending material availability and weather permitting.
