The City of West Chicago is seeking bids for corrective actions at an Illinois EPA Leaking Underground Storage Tank site. The project involves soil remediation at a former UST location through excavation, transport, and landfill disposal of contaminated soil. Excavation may require the use of heavy equipment, air knife, manual digging, or a combination of these methods due to the presence of underground utilities, previous UST excavation backfilled with stone, and currently operating USTs. Bidders should account for these conditions in their approach. All technical questions regarding the project shall be directed in writing to Daniel Horvath, Resource Consulting, Inc. at dhorvath@resourceillinois.com. All questions shall be submitted in writing by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
