Site work and paving for a road / highway in West Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists mainly of installing a traffic signal and roadway lighting at IL Route 38 (Roosevelt Rd) at Technology Blvd in the City of West Chicago. The net length of improvements is approximately 1890 feet or 0.36 miles. Bidders must submit sealed bids using the required forms, include a 5% bid deposit, and ensure the envelope is clearly marked. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor-Mechanical Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the bid amount. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and submit waivers of lien and certified payroll. Any requests for clarification must be submitted in writing by the specified deadline. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, readvertise the services, and accept the most advantageous proposal. The DCEO Grant requires Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Goal of 28%, with 18% of the grant dollars going to minority-owned business enterprises (MBE or WMBEs), 10% of the grant dollars going to women-owned business enterprises (WBE or WMBE), or to persons with disabilities-owned business enterprises (PBE) Question Deadline 02/05/2026 at 12:00 PM CT Written requests must be received and will not be accepted after this time and date.
