As of March 23, 2026, the project was awarded to Plote Construction Inc., with an awarded amount of $7,641,570.50. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, pavement removal, installation of Portland cement concrete pavement, 12-inch ductile iron water main and water main services, storm sewers, combination concrete curb and gutter, Portland cement concrete sidewalk, sidewalk ramp ADA panel installation, parkway restoration, street lighting, epoxy pavement markings, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and described. SCOPE The City of West Chicago is seeking construction of the 2026 Industrial Streets Improvement Project - Phase A on Downs Drive and Western Drive including pavement reconstruction, water main replacement, pavement widening, storm sewers, sidewalks, and street lighting. The net length of the roadway improvements is approximately 5,034 feet (0.95 miles) within the City of West Chicago in DuPage County. The project includes, but is not limited to, pavement removal, Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement, 12" ductile iron water main and water main services, storm sewers, combination concrete curb and gutter, PCC sidewalk, sidewalk ramp ADA panel installation, parkway restoration, street lighting, epoxy pavement markings and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and described herein. All quantities, unless noted otherwise, will be used in determining the lowest responsible bidder.
