The project will include Contractor supplying new replacement equipment, removal of existing equipment, and installation of new equipment . The City of Pueblo, Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WRF) is soliciting for a qualified Contractor to rehabilitate Secondary Clarifier #2. The project will include Contractor supplying new replacement equipment, removal of existing equipment, and installation of new equipment as detailed in this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Question Deadline 08/26/2025 at 4:00 PM MT Any inquiries regarding seeming inconsistencies between the Plans and Specifications for this project must be made DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK A. Contractor must order Equipment (as outlined in Section 3.26 above) and other necessary materials from a vendor acceptable to the City. B. Contractor shall begin work on site within ten (10) business days from notification to begin (to be issued after equipment has been received by Contractor). C. Prior to commencement of work, City will shit down and clean the clarifier. Clarifier may still have some debris in the bottom of the Clarifier but should not interfere with the Contractor's ability to perform the work for this project. D. City will disconnect electrical service(s) as needed. E. Contractor shall perform the following steps to complete the work for this project. Any details that have been left out, but are clearly necessary to complete the work, shall be assumed by the Contractor and included in bid amount. 1. Prepare for installation of the AR plate (including any additional items for the system including hardware, parts, equipment, supplies, components, connectors, etc.) 2. Block and support the clarifier arms before removing any parts 3. Remove existing seals from around clarifier center column 4. Remove a section suction arm to allow access to the suction manifold 5. Remove the suction manifold to allow access to the AR plate 6. Remove the existing AR plate 7. Install the new AR plate 8. Grout the new AR plate with non-shrinking grout 9. Reinstall the new suction manifold 10. Reinstall suction arm 11. Install new seals to manufacturer's specifications (Ovivo) a. Must utilize hardened 410 SS screws and washers installed every 6 to 8 inches through new banding on seals b. Predrill if needed so screws do not break off 12. Paint suction manifold and the new rolled steel on the scum trough with marine grade paint to match existing color 13. Install and weld new rolled steel on scum trough (replacing old wear plates) 14. Review all work with City's Project Manager. F. City will reconnect electrical service. G. Contractor shall coordinate with the City's Project Manager to complete a test run to ensure the balance is within specification (Ovivo). H. Contractor shall maintain site in a clean and safe manner as this is an operational working wastewater treatment facility. I. J. Contractor shall remove and dispose of all old parts (except those items noted above), trash, and debris. Disposal will not be provided by the City. Contractors shall be aware of the sprinkler system and locate the sprinkler heads and zone valve boxes and mark them so as not to destroy them. If damage occurs, Contractor shall be responsible for replacement of the damaged parts. 1. Notice: The sprinkler system will not be turned on until the April 2026 and City will notify Contractor within 2 weeks if any leaks are detected. Contractor will be responsible to repair/replace any leaks within the following 1 week to avoid waste of water, damages, etc. K. Installation will not be accepted as complete until the Secondary Clarifier is fully functioning and approved by City's Project Manager.
