The scope of work generally includes the following but is not limited to pipeline and manhole emergency repairs; pipe replacement by way of trenchless pipe bursting; pumping and/or diversion of sewer flows; temporary traffic control; manhole cover readjustment or repair; supported activities and other miscellaneous work related to sanitary sewer systems including, but not limited to, closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection, manhole and pipeline inspection, cleaning and removal of debris, testing, and coordinating with other agencies to obtain construction permits. Bids must be accompanied by a Proposal guarantee amounting to ten (10%) percent of the bid as described in the specifications. Said guarantee shall be forfeited to the City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him/her (1) enter into a contract with the City and (2) furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the privilege of rejecting any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalitiesin any proposals or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his/her proposal for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for opening of proposals.
