Backwash Actuator Valve Replacement for Filter #3 The original Backwash valve actuator on Filter #3 at the Town of Needham's Charles River Water Treatment Plant is 20+ years old and is past its useful life expectancy. The Town is seeking a qualified vendor to remove the existing 12" backwash valve and actuator from Filter #3 and replace with an updated unit: Model # SQ10.2/AC01.2 AUMA series Quarter turn actuator with AC controls 1 phase, 120 volt., Valmatic 12" 2012 series Butterfly valve Flanged AWWA C504 150B with mounting to the actuators. The actual SQ10.2 model will be determined by the torque setting. The Town's on-call electrical contractor will disconnect the existing wiring prior to removal and rewire up to the new actuator valve after the awarded contractor installs the units as solicited by this IFB. The awarded contractor will need to coordinate work with the Town's electrical contractor so that testing can be completed after rewiring to ensure that the system is fully operational. Attached at the end of the IFB are the existing specifications and wiring schematics of the AUMA backwash modulating valve actuators (Model # SG12.1).
