Dog Park Improvements / DPRC Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. All questions must be referred in writing to Jerry Kucera via e-mail at kucerajs@worcesterma.gov The City of Worcester-DPRC proposes amenities added to Beaver Brook Dog Park and Vernon Hill Dog Park. The main improvements to the park consist of the installation of varying stone surfaces, within existing footprint, water connections, and site elements which include: 1. Pea Stone 2. Rice Stone 3. Water Bottle Filling Station 4. Dog park play equipment 5. Backflow Preventer Cabinet 6. Benches 7. Trash Receptacles All questions must be referred in writing to Jerry Kucera via e-mail at kucerajs@worcesterma.gov All questions and requests for clarifications or interpretations of the meaning of the Contract Documents shall be in writing, addressed to the Purchasing Department, City of Worcester, and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for opening of bids. All work of this contract is located within the confines and adjacent Right- of-Way of Beaver Brook Park - 15 Mann St. and Vernon Hill Park -144 Vernon St., owned and maintained by the City of Worcester Parks, Recreation & Cemetery. The work to be completed under this contract involves the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the following items of work and all incidentals thereto. All work shall be performed in full accordance with the specifications, other contract documents, obviously implied and necessary or under the direction of the Owner. b. The plans and specifications are intended to be cooperative, and any item called for in one and not the other shall be as binding as if called for in both. During the bidding period discrepancies should be immediately brought to the attention of the Owner for clarification. If a discrepancy is discovered within the plans and the specifications after the Bid period, the Owner will determine which shall apply. c. When Applicable, The City of Worcester DPW and Parks, will specify Project Standard appurtenances/amenities such as, but not limited to, park benches, trash receptacles, irrigation controllers, pedestrian, parking and sports field lighting, etc. in the facilities within their jurisdiction that are currently installed at this or other facilities. By standardizing, it provides the Division with a consistent product which through familiarity reduces operator training and maintenance time. Standardization also provides opportunities for maintenance cost saving through interchangeable parts such as but not inclusive to luminaries, ballast, poles, compatibility with current Division maintenance equipment etc. i. No substitution or equal will be accepted for the following item(s); 1. Pedestrian/Pathway lighting pole and fixture, Holophane. 2. Musco Sports Lighting System.
