Task 11-Prepare Record Drawings (As-builts) The City of Pico Rivera (CITY) is publishing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified firms (Consultant) to provide design engineering services for the Citywide Regional Trail Entrances and City Entry Points Safety Improvements, CIP No. 50117, CRPL-5351(047) (Project). Design engineering services shall include preliminary engineering, conceptual renderings, surveying, preparation of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) and construction support services. The CITY has been awarded a federally funded grant through the California Department of Transportation's (Caltrans) Carbon Reduction Program to support the Project. The Project aims to enhance access and connectivity to nearby trails and promote greater public use by installing missing sidewalk segments, including ADA-compliant ramps. At trail entrances, improvements will include new LED/solar lighting, updated signage, removal of dead or dried vegetation, and replacement with drought-tolerant landscaping and shade-providing trees where feasible. Additional features such as irrigation, decomposed granite, and decorative rock boulders will be incorporated to create a more inviting and accessible environment. To further support public transit use, the Project also proposes the installation of anti-litter signage, new trash and recycling bins, and prefabricated shade canopies at nearby bus stops to reduce heat exposure for waiting passengers.
