This Project is to complete the necessary roof replacements at the CVG Centre, which is an occupied, multi-level building. The scope includes the design of the roofing, fall protection, and restoration of the lightning protection systems which will be delegated to the contractor as part of a design-build delivery. Pursuant to the provisions of KRS 424.260, the Kenton County Airport Board (Owner) will receive competitive sealed bids for the CVG Centre Roof Replacement & Fall Protection project at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (Airport) located in Boone County, Kentucky (the "Project"). The roof systems at the CVG Centre were installed in 1999 and have exceeded their expected service life. Routine maintenance and inspections have identified the majority of these sections as being in poor condition and recommended for replacement to avoid failures resulting from age and deterioration. This project aims to complete the necessary roof replacements on an occupied, multi-level building. The scope includes the design of the roofing, fall protection, and restoration of the lightning protection systems which will be delegated to the contractor as part of a design-build delivery. General Bond Requirements: Bidders shall provide a Proposal Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the total main bid amount as specified. Only the Proposal Bond form, included with these documents. The successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds by a surety company duly authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Payment and Performance bonds furnished by the successful bidder must be executed by the owner, a general partner or, if a corporation, the secretary's signature and the seal of the corporation must be affixed. These bonds must remain in effect for the length of the agreement. The agent of the surety must exhibit certificate or license showing legal rights of the surety to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Ballasted single ply membrane roof on tapered insulation on 3 1/2 " insulation max. Roof insulation on 1 1/2 " metal deck on steel structure. 4. Modified bituminous membrane roof on 1" insulation. Roof insulation on 1" metal Deck on radiused steel structure. 5. The existing 1 1/2 " Prefinished Profiled Metal Roof covered walking system to remain. (No Work). The intent is to award the project to a Prime Roofing Contractor, who will serve as the single point of responsibility for all work elements, including roofing replacement, fall protection installation as requested, and lightning protection restoration/extension.
