SCOPE/STATEMENT OF WORK To provide consulting fire protection engineering services under the terms of the agreement which may encompass but are not limited to: (1) Fire and life safety review of design documents at all design stages, including but notlimited to, specifications, product data and calculations, to identify code compliance issues related to life safety and fire protection provisions of the California Statewide Building Code and applicable NFPA standards; (2) Design of fire alarm and detection systems, and fire suppression/ sprinkler systems. (3) Design and review of mass notification systems; (4) Location of portable fire extinguishers; (5) Design and review of special hazard suppression systems such as pre-engineered kitchen hood extinguishing equipment, clean-agent, and foam suppression; (6) System upgrades and repairs; (7) Studies, such as the effect a renovation may have on building egress; and (8) Fire alarm Project Information Reports. It is the intent of the City to award a contract, in a form approved by the City Attorney, to the selected firm. The City reserves the right to further negotiate the terms and conditions of the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any proposal for noncompliance with contract requirements and provisions, or to not award contract because of unforeseen circumstances or i f it is determined to be in the best interest of the City. This project will be awarded based on demonstrated ability and performance providing similar services at a fair and reasonable cost. This contract may not be awarded to the lowest proposer. The City Council will approve as part of the annual budget an annual contract amount. The City does not guarantee a specific amount of work and the quantity of work may increase or decrease depending on the annual needs of the community. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
