Additions and Renovations at George G. White Middle School General Scope: The work includes a new addition and Interior renovations in the existing building.The work in general includes but is not limited to the following: Site Work Excavation Masonry Structural Steel Windows Roofs Finishes Plumbing/Fire Protection Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Electrical Fire Alarms Furnishings and Casework Bid doc Note: Any contractor submitting a bid must be listed on the official Bidders list. Any bid received from a contractor that is not a listed online will be rejected. No documents shall be mailed, via US mail or overnight mail. he last day for questions shall be on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 5pm. Addenda will be issued no later than Thursday September 11, 2025 at 4pm. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a Bid for a Project, the Bidder and/or its subcontractor shall be classified by NJDPMC in at least one of the following disciplines as listed with the associated project All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Rucinger. Donistestion Cortifiesta and that of all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and may be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. PLEASE NOTE that the Board will not award the contract to a bidder unless the bidder enters into a Project Labor Agreement with the Bergen County Building Trades Council in the form set forth in the bid specifications, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:38-5. The Hillsdale Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Hillsdale Board of Education. Mobilize on site and commence work October 6, 2025 ; Overall Final Completion (including completion of all punch list and closeout documents) - August 7, 2027. A. Project Description: Project name is Addition and Renovations at the George G. White Middle School, 120 Magnolia Avenue, Hillsdale, NJ for the Hillsdale Public Schools Board of Education and further identified as Di Cara | Rubino Project No. 4397 on the Contract Documents prepared by Di Cara | Rubino Architects. Generally, the project consist of the demolition of the existing multi-purpose room, stage, music room, storage, kitchen, and corridors consisting of approximatlty 13,000sf. This area will be replaced with a new two story addition of approximately 30,000sf consisting of a New multi-purpose room, stage, 2 music rooms, toilets, receiving area, storage, classrooms, science labs and lobby and corridors. The project also consist of approximately a 61,500sf renovation of the existing 3 story George White Middle School. The renovation includes, but not limited to new unit vents, louvers, boilers, toilets, change in use renovation, doors, windows, floors, ceilings, lighting, M.E.P replacement, casework, locker replacement, finishes, painting, tack and marker board replacement and stair renovations. The exterior renovation includes, replacement of ext. doors and frames, gutters, leaders, fascia trim replacement, brick repointing and cleaning, painting, new roofing. The site work consist of utility tie-ins, sidewalks, curbing, paving, signage, exterior steps and ramps, parking lot, bus drop off, lighting and underground detention systems. Asbestos Abatement will be done under a separate contract awarded by the B.O.E. The abatement will be completed in two phases. The first phase will be the existing spaces to be demolished and the second phase will be the existing three story Middle School to be renovated. The phasing of the abatement allows the start of the new addition while the existing building is abated.
