Scope of Work - The project is for the upgrade of Pump Station (PS) 0313 and the installation of approximately 2,000 linear feet of 10-inch force main (FM) from PS 0313 to an existing 36-inch FM. Estimated Range of the Base Bid - $3,440,381.87 to $4,162,671.99, not including contingency and dedicated allowances. Project Duration: 390 Calendar Days to Substantial Completion, 450 Calendar Days to Final Completion, plus a 45 Calendar Day Contingency Period. Pursuant to County Code Section 2-11.1 (t), this solicitation is under a "Cone of Silence" until lifted. This contract has no Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Goods and Services Goals. Goals are not for construction related goods and services, but for the provision of goods, services, or work incidental to the project, such as the provision of security services, janitorial services, landscaping services, maintenance services, transportation services, or other services that do not require a construction contracting license or involve supplying or carrying construction materials for a public works project. The Office of Small Business Development will work and coordinate with bidders to complete the utilization plan for the SBE - Goods & Service. The Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to re-advertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm or Corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the County may be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the County may be cause for the rejection of his bid.
