The goal of this project is to engage a qualified contractor to carry out the construction of gravel parking lot expansions at Popson Park. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary materials, equipment, products, labor, and transportation to complete the construction of the 2025 Popson Park Parking Lot Expansions Project. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities and activities: General Fulfillment of all “Prime Contractor” responsibilities under applicable legislation Comprehensive project management and coordination of all activities, personnel, and subcontractors Wildlife assessments / nest sweeps and mitigations Preparation and implementation of site access and staging plans On-site supervision and continuous safety monitoring Mobilization and demobilization of resources Attendance and active participation in construction and safety meetings Schedule management and mitigation of delays Quality control testing, documentation, and reporting Risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies Acquisition of all required permits, licenses, and approvals Interpretation and execution of design documents and specifications Utility locates and coordination with relevant owners Hydrovac daylighting for utility verification (Provisional) Construction surveys Site Management and Safety Implementation of work area safeguards Accommodation of vehicular traffic, pedestrians and park user access Environmental protection Erosion control, dust suppression and water management Earthworks and Material Handling Stripping and on-site stockpiling of turf and topsoil Removal, salvage, and stockpiling of limestone and granular materials Removal and off-site disposal of post and cable fencing Common excavation, placement, and compaction on-site Supply, placement, and compaction of imported fill Placement and compaction of salvaged granular materials Supply, placement, and compaction of new granular base and limestone materials Supply and installation of geogrid (Provisional) Site Features and Installations Removal, salvage, and reinstallation of concrete wheel stops Supply and installation of: Traffic and park signage Tertiary park identification signage Pedestrian swing gates Concrete wheel stops Post and cable fencing Landscaping and Restoration Placement of topsoil and finish grading Seeding and hydromulching of disturbed areas Landscape remediation and restoration Finalization and Warranty Site cleanup and disposal of all waste materials Completion of as-built surveys and red-line markups Provision of a two-year warranty on all completed work under this Contract Documents can be obtained from https://lethbridge.bidsandtenders.ca/
