Site work for a water / sewer project in Lethbridge, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The current 200mm diameter VCT piping has degraded, it has been determined that lining is the preferred method to repair the sanitary sewer pipeline in the affected areas. The County intends to award the lining of approximately 878m to a primary proponent. Whissell is currently working for the County in Shaughnessy and will excavate and replace two sections of damaged piping with PVC. These two sections are located on 3rd Street between Becker and Cadilac (Manhole 21 to Manhole 22) and on 4th Street between Cochran and the main outlet (Manhole 24 to Manhole 25). Upon repair of the section on 3rd street (Manhole 21 to Manhole 22), the County will also mineral grind and CCTV the pipe segment prior to any lining taking place. Before any lining work begins in these areas; the successful proponent must coordinate their activities with Whissell and the County to ensure alignment with their work.
