Renovation of a laboratory facility in College Park, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and project management necessary to disconnect, remove, and fully replace the existing central laboratory vacuum system at the Harvey W. Wiley Federal Building. The new system must be a skid-mounted, tri-plex (three-pump), dry (oil-less) vacuum system with a manually switchable redundant control system integrated into the cabinet. It must be compatible with existing infrastructure and meet stringent performance specifications. The scope of work includes site survey, required submittals, delivery, installation, connection to existing utilities, testing, commissioning, and warranty service.
