Renovation of a military facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) Services in Idaho seeks to procure and install a new HVAC system for the Pale Cyst Nematode (PCN) Program Viability Testing Laboratory, replacing a non-functional unit. The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing Franklin ARUF182416BA unit and installing a new HVAC system that meets specified technical requirements. These include servicing a 250 sq. ft. space with a 72F mean temperature, providing 0.5 tons (7000 BTU) cooling and 10,000 BTU heating output, reusing the existing duct return drop, and supporting up to a 3-ton duct base. The system must include a MERV 11 filter, electrical hookup to existing wiring, a new thermostat and wiring, a new line set, ground leveling and pad installation, a condensate pump (up to 25'), a pad and metal stand for the heat pump, an air handler, a 5KW heat strip, a coil installed in a straight plenum, and removal of the old electric furnace. The contractor must comply with all specifications and terms outlined in the solicitation and will be held liable for default unless delays are due to uncontrollable events. The government will evaluate proposals using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method. The contractor must be registered in SAM.gov, and quotes must not exceed 50 pages.
