Hopedale Town Park provides a multi-use recreational space that includes a baseball field, batting cage, tennis courts, basketball court, bandstand, and playground area. The park is bounded to the north by Northrop Street, to the west by Dutcher Street, to the south by Freedom Street, and to the east by multiple residential abutters. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by Engineer at least 7 days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids. The work for this project consists of the following: A rehabilitation of the park including regrading, stormwater improvements, removal and construction of a new natural grass softball field, removal and construction of three (3) new tennis courts, removal and construction of one (1) basketball court new playground surfacing, HMA and flexible porous pavement walkways, new electrical service and underground wiring, lighting, segmental block concrete retaining wall, concrete pads, irrigation system, and other associated site improvements. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract. Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act also apply to this project.
