Burks Street Pavement Improvement Project Project Scope: The City of Sturgeon is requesting bids for asphalt rut fill and overlay work to improve the condition of designated roadway segments. This project will involve applying approximately 0.05 inches of rut fill followed by a 2-inch asphalt overlay on specified street segments. Project Locations & Dimensions: 1. North Ruby Street From: Francis Street To: Proctor Street Length: Approximately 620 feet Width: Approximately 20 feet Area: 13,000 sq. ft. Work: 0.05" rut fill + 2" asphalt overlay 2. East Burks Street (Segment A) From: Ogden Street To: South Rocheford Street Length: Approximately 780 feet Width: Approximately 20 feet Area: 15,600 sq. ft. Work: 0.05" rut fill + 2" asphalt overlay 3. East Burks Street (Segment B) From: East side of bridge To: City Limits Length: Approximately 300 feet Width: Approximately 20 feet Area: 6,000 sq. ft. Work: 0.05" rut fill + 2" asphalt overlay Total Estimated Area: 34,600 sq. ft. 3,840 square yards) Bid Specifications: A. Materials and Methods: Rut Fill: Apply 0.05 inches of asphalt leveling course to correct wheel path depressions. Overlay: Apply 2-inch compacted thickness of hot mix asphalt (HMA) over the prepared surface. Surface Preparation: Clean existing pavement and apply tack coat before rut fill and overlay. Compaction: Minimum of 92% of maximum theoretical density (AASHTO T209). Traffic Control: Contractor is responsible for signage, flagging, and safe traffic flow around the work zone. B. General Requirements: Contractor must be fully licensed and insured. All work must comply with Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) standards. Contractor is responsible for coordinating with utility providers if conflicts arise. All debris and excess material must be removed from the site upon completion. Pavement transitions must be smoothed and feathered at all endpoints. C.
