Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Sturgeon, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a 1,680-square-foot, one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Sturgeon is accepting bids from qualified contractors for sidewalk and curb construction. The work includes digging out and setting up approximately 1,680 square feet of new sidewalk, with 552 square feet at 6 inches thick for vehicle crossings, installation of 6-gauge wire mat for steel reinforcement, base preparation with at least 3 inches of surface gravel, all concrete as a 6-bag mix (4000 PSI, low lignite sand, light broom finish), setting up and pouring about 70 linear feet of new concrete curb, installing a 2 ft x 1 ft steel grate for drainage connecting to the existing ditch, and installing a 5-foot-long truncated dome to meet ADA ramp requirements. All rock material is to remain on site, placed across the street by the railroad tracks. Contractors must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary, and comply with ADA standards, City specifications, and safety requirements. The site must be kept clean and restored to preconstruction condition at completion. Contractors are strongly encouraged to schedule an on-site visit before bidding.
