Demolition for a residential development in Sturgeon, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
Separate sealed bids are being accepted from qualified contractors for the complete demolition of 5 residential properties. The project includes asbestos removal, asbestos inspection during demolition for hazardous structures, and demolition. The asbestos inspector must be licensed and cannot also serve as the asbestos abatement contractor. The demolition contractor must be licensed for asbestos removal or must partner with a licensed asbestos contractor. All bid documents, forms, and specifications can be examined at Sturgeon City Hall and obtained for a non-refundable deposit. Each bid must include a bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid amount, secured by a bid bond or certified check. Bidders must comply with conditions of employment, Section 3-DBE, Segregated Facility, Section 109, E.O. 11246, OSHA 10-hour construction safety course, and provide documentation of compliance with E-Verify. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after bid opening. Bids from minority, women, and Section 3-owned firms are invited. The city reserves the right to waive informality or reject any or all bids.
