The City of Fort Atkinson has received a TAP (Transportation Alternatives Program) grant to construct a 10 foot wide asphalt path along South Main Street between Rockwell Avenue to Hackbarth Road being approximately 1 mile in length. The addition of the path will narrow the existing roadway cross section of South Main Street. The work will consist of pulverizing the full roadway, removing the easterly side of the concrete curb and gutter, constructing a 10 wide asphalt path, reconstructing the easterly roadway curb, storm sewer reconstruction, watermain reconstruction, sanitary sewer spot repairs, driveway reconstruction, and restoration. The anticipated substantial completion date is September 18, 2026 and final completion date is October 2, 2026.
