The contract shall commence on the Commencement Date set forth in the contract to furnish and deliver the services and materials required to effectively establish and maintain the Maintenance of Traffic plan at the location specified by the City of Peterburg. The contract will expire one and half (1.5) years later, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the provision of this Contract. The City reserves the right to extend the Contract for any reason for a period or periods up to but not to exceed 12 months. This extension may be exercised when the City determines that an extension of the Contract is advantageous to the City. The award(s) will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s) meeting the requirements of the solicitation. Due consideration will be given to previous experience, and the ability of the bidder to render the required services. The Procurement office reserves the right to conduct any test it may deem advisable and to make all evaluations. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the procuring public body to be in its best interest. Bids will be tabulated, evaluated and awarded on a "Grand Total" basis.
