Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Venice, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

This scope of work includes replacement of the existing 2-box PAPIs with new 4-box LED systems on Runway 5-23. Mobilization and demobilization as well as the purchase and replacement of PAPIs on Runway 5-23. Procurement and installation of new Navigational Aids (NAVAIDs) include purchase, delivery, site work, electrical work, coordination with necessary agencies, permitting, testing, and commissioning of the new NAVAID. All NAVAID projects include the materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals required to complete a NAVAID project. The contractor and all subcontractors shall maintain requirements for FDOT funded contacts for this project. The contractor shall incorporate all applicable requirements of these Required Provisions for FDOT funded contracts by reference for work done under any purchase orders, rental agreements and other agreements for supplies or services for this project. The contractor shall be responsible for his/her compliance with these requirements for FDOT funded contracts and for compliance by his/her subcontractors, lower-tier subcontractors, or service providers. FDOT Contract Provisions are included in this ITB. All questions, comments, or concerns about this ITB must be submitted in writing to Mr. Peter Boers, Procurement- Finance Department, for the City of Venice, Room 204, 401 West Venice Avenue, Venice, FL 34285 or e-mail at pboers@venicefl.gov Mr. Boers is the only designated representative of the City authorized to respond to comments, questions, and concerns. The City will not respond to comments, questions or concerns addressed to any person other than Mr. Boers. If the City determines that a particular comment, question or concern necessitates a global response to all Proposers, the City will issue a clarifying memorandum or addendum. The final day that the City will accept questions will be September 5, 2025, by 1:00 p.m. The City assumes no responsibility for bids received after the bid submittal time or at any location other than that specified, no matter what the reason. Late bids will be held unopened and will not be considered for award. No bid will be received after the specified time for acceptance, and no bidder may withdraw his bid within a period of ninety (90) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Bids will be considered only by bidders who have the applicable license, if a license is required by the City of Venice and/or State of Florida, for the type of work specified. A copy of the applicable license must be submitted with bid if a license is required. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any requirements, irregularities or technical defects therein, when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City.
