Description of Work: (a) The proposed work is officially known as Avondale Cir. RCB Maintenance. (b) The proposed improvements consist primarily of repairing the wingwalls of the existing RCB culvert, bank stabilization, and related improvements including Channel/Culvert Clean Out. All proposals must be accompanied by a bank cashier's check or bank draft, letter of credit issued by any national bank or certificate of deposit therein, dulyassigned or certified check or approved bid bond for not less than5(%) percent of the amount of bid.All proposal guarantees shall bemade out to CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS (d) The Sponsor hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicablelabor laws, non-discriminationprovisions, wage rate laws andother federal laws including theFair Labor Standards Acts of1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962and Title VI of the Civil Rights Actof 1964 also apply." (e) A State of Arkansas Contractor's License isnot required to bid on the project;however, no contractor shall submit a bid prior to submitting aninitial application (which does not require a full audit) for licensure, and no construction contract shallbe executed until the successfulbidder has furnished an appropriate license issued by the State of Arkansas Contractor's LicensingBoard. (f) Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, his address, and the project name and number. Any bidthat does not bear this informationwill be automatically rejected.
