The Project generally consists of inspection, cleaning, disinfection, exterior coatings removal, concrete crack and spall repairs and exterior recoating for three (3), 2 million-gallon prestressed concrete tanks. Proposals shall consider the Tentative Scope of Contractor Services in Section 01 10 00 - Summary. Alternative recommendations or proposed methods of rehabilitation shall be detailed in Proposals. The Owner requires the Project to be substantially complete in 210 calendar days from the date that the Contract Times commence to run as indicated on the Notice to Proceed. In order to Bid on the Project, the Bidder shall possess a valid General Contractor's license for work in the State of Alabama. The Contractor's license number shall be clearly indicated on the outside of sealed proposal envelopes. Bidder and its Subcontractors shall comply with all applicable licensing requirements of the Code of Alabama, federal and local Laws or Regulations. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and evidence of insurance as prescribed in the Bidding Documents. Bidders are directed to the Instructions to Bidders - Document 00 21 15 and the other Bidding Documents. Funding assistance for the Project is from the State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program. Information on the applicable federal requirements is contained within the documents. Bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
