Landscape professionals for the installation of rain gardens at 5 residential properties and rain barrels at 12 residential properties located in the Village of Riverdale. Rain gardens are shallow, vegetated basins designed to capture and infiltrate stormwater runoff from impervious surfaces. This project includes the excavation, soil amendment, and plantings necessary to install functioning rain gardens on certain residential properties. At other residential properties, rain barrels to capture and store stormwater will be installed. The project is a design/build project with rain gardens and rain barrels complying with general standards provided in Appendix B of this RFP The selected contractor will be responsible for: 1. Scheduling and conducting an on-site visit with each homeowner to review the proposed project. 2. Preparation of a detailed project budget for each project for review and approval by Greenprint. Project budget shall include estimated costs for labor and materials plus contractor overhead and profit. 3. Scheduling and coordinating construction with each homeowner 4. Site preparation and excavation (if required) 5. Removal and disposal of existing sod/soil (if needed) 6. Soil amendment and backfilling (per specifications) 7. Installation of any underdrains or overflow structures (if required) 8. Installation of rain barrels 9. Downspout disconnections 10. Planting of native or approved vegetation 11. Initial watering and stabilization 12.
