For the performing of the work as follows: The project will replace existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units at the Redding Corporation Yard as part of the City of Reddings Energy Efficiency Economic Recovery Plan (EEERP). Existing HVAC units will be replaced with new energy efficient units. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashiers check, or original bidders bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. Contractor shall possess a Class A C-20 license at the time bid is opened. Bidders shall acknowledge receipt via email at constructionbids@cityofredding.org of all Addenda posted on the City’s website prior to bid opening Question Deadline 09/11/2025 SCOPE OF WORK A. Drawings and General Provisions of this Contract, apply to this section. B. Electrical work shall comply with the requirements indicated in all sections of Divisions 26. Examine all Divisions of the Specifications and Drawings to determine the complete scope of the electrical work. C. The work to be done under Division 26 of the Specifications shall include the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, tools and appurtenances and performing all operations necessary to provide complete, fully functional systems in accordance with the Specifications, the Drawings and requirements of the applicable codes and standards listed herein. Where the Specifications, Drawings, applicable codes or standards conflict provide the greater or more strict requirement. D. Visit areas of construction where Work is to take place, and examine the construction site carefully, noting locations and conditions under which the Work will be performed and accepting the responsibility for performing the Work under the existing conditions. TIME OF COMPLETION Attention is directed to Sections 6-1 and 6-3 of the General Provisions, "Construction Schedule and Commencement of Work" and "Time of Completion." In accordance with the provisions of these Subsections, the Contractor shall begin work within fifteen (15) days after the date of the Notice to Proceed and thereafter diligently prosecute the same to completion within a period not to exceed sixty (60) working days. The contract time shall commence on the fifteenth day after the Notice to Proceed or on the date of commencement of the work, whichever occurs first.
