Renovation of a power facility in Groton, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
Western Area Power Administration requires circuit breaker timing work at the Groton Substation in South Dakota. The contractor shall perform services in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS), which includes testing and evaluating the timing and contact resistance of four breakers that were found to be out of specification during routine maintenance. The objective is to ensure that the breakers open quickly enough during fault conditions to minimize equipment damage. The work is 100% set aside for small businesses. **Location:** Groton Substation, approximately 5 miles south of Highway 37, Groton, SD 57445, United States. The Contractor shall commence performance of this contract in accordance with the contract terms and conditions on DATE OF AWARD and continue through approximately 22 weeks after date of award. Estimated Range $10,000 - $25,000 Provide Field Service Engineer(s) to go to site and technically assist Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) personnel with the inspection, repair, and seals replacement on four (4) 145PM40 - 30C breakers with serial numbers DNR7127-06, 07, 10, and 02. The breakers are testing out of spec for timing and contact resistance. The breakers are 2017 manufacture date and had issues on initial install.
