The Project will consist of the scope of work as generally described below and is commonly known and/or referred to as the Security Camera and Infrastructure Project - Multiple Campuses. This Request for Pre-Qualification Applications involves the upgrade of Security Cameras and Infrastructure Project - Multiple Campuses. A single contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder pursuant to a subsequent Request for Bids process. This procurement process will take place in two Steps: Step 1: is the Pre-qualification Application Process Qualify Contractor through the Request for Pre-Qualification Application Process that meet the Uniform System of Rating Applicants' criteria set forth in the Qualification Questionnaire (Attachment "A" to the Pre-Qualification Application). No pricing proposals are submitted at this time. From the pool of Qualified Applicants, the District will select approximately three (3) to five (5) of the highest ranked and qualified teams to be designated as "Finalists". The District reserves however the right to designate as "Finalists" as many Qualified Applicants that it determines to be in its own best interests, at any time. The District may decide to conduct interviews. The Pre- Qualified Application Process will end when the District issues a ranking and qualification list with the Finalists identified thereon. The ranking and point totals from the Pre-Qualification Application process do not carry over to the Request for Bids (RFB) portion of this procurement. The District will not provide any Applicant with reimbursement for any costs in connection with the Pre-Qualification Application Process Stage of this procurement, and the Applicant is solely responsible for all costs and expenses, of any nature, associated with responding to the Request for Pre-Qualifications Application Process including attending briefing(s) and providing supplemental information. Step 2: will be a Request for Bids process open to only pre-qualified firms. Once this Pre-Qualifications Application process concludes, Bid documents will be made available to Applicants pre-qualified via this Pre-Qualification Application Process during the subsequent bidding phase (i.e., Step Two) of this procurement. More information will be provided to potential Bidders who pre-qualify via this Request for Pre-Qualification Applications Process. Security Camera and Infrastructure Project - Multiple Campuses The District Established in 1934 and known then as the Oceanside-Carlsbad Junior College Department of Oceanside High School District, the MiraCosta Community College District is located in San Diego County, along the Southern California Coast, between Orange County to the north and metropolitan San Diego to the south, with three campuses serving nearly 25,000 students. The District is part of the statewide California Community College system. It is governed by an elected sevenmember Board of Trustees. Each member represents and must reside in a specific area of the District and serves a term of four years. The District is 35 miles north of San Diego and 90 miles south of Los Angeles. The District includes the cities of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, Solano Beach, Del Mar, the unincorporated areas of La Costa, Olivenhain, and portions of Carmel Valley and Camp Pendleton Marine Base. The District's three campuses, which range in size from seven and one-half to over one hundred twenty acres and include: the Community Learning Center; the Oceanside Campus; and the San Elijo Campus. The District is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges. This project involves the furnishing and installation of security cameras at three (3) District campuses. Work includes furnishing and the installation of electronic security cameras, furnishing and installation of conduit, paint touch up, possible trenching and patching of concrete and asphalt.
