Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Project includes construction of a three-span prefabricated steel bridge crossing the Thornapple River just downstream from the existing Thornapple River Drive vehicular bridge. The bridge will have two spans that are 50 feet long and the center span will be 170 feet long. The project also includes construction of 165 feet of wood boardwalk, 5,035 square feet of concrete pavement, and roughly 2,000 cubic yards of embankment. This project will be entirely funded by Ada Township; no federal or state grants are involved. All Proposals shall be made in accordance with the Bidding Documents. A Proposal Guarantee payable to Ada Township, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, must accompany the Proposal in accordance with the Information for Bidders. The right is reserved by Ada Township to accept any Proposal, reject any or all Proposals, and to waive informalities in bidding when it is deemed to be in the interest of Ada Township.
