Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the construction of a educational facility.
**As of October 7, 2025 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded by the end of the month.** The project is located on the Jefferson Community and Technical College Downtown campus in Louisville, KY and consists of approximately 2.5 acres of exterior green space with various amenities, sidewalks and minimal surface parking. Formerly a very large surface parking lot, two buildings are currently under construction on the east and west sides of the block that is bounded by 1st and 2nd Streets and West Broadway to the south. A new Science Building fronts 1st Street to the east and a new Parking Structure fronts 2nd Street to the west. Existing college academic buildings are located on the northern portion of the block that fronts Chestnut Street, and the Administration Building is at the corner of 1st Street and W. Broadway. The existing surface car parking will be demolished with the exception of a small portion of the existing lot that is adjacent to W. Broadway and will serve the retail tenants in the southeastern corner of the Parking Structure. In place of the asphalt pavement, topsoil will be imported to support shade trees and lawns. Sidewalks will provide pedestrian circulation through the quadrangle that is formed by the buildings, as well as Emergency vehicle access. Amenities include a small, terraced seating area that may serve as an outdoor classroom, benches, dining tables, a miniature synthetic turf soccer field, corn hole boards, a disc golf target, a location for a public art installation, lighting, ornamental fencing and security cameras for safety. Perimeter masonry signage will be constructed at each of the three street frontages that will identify the space as the "College Green", as well as JCTC and the private donor that is making the project possible. *Per the Architect, the scale is incorrect on the irrigation plan and the irrigation sleeve. The scale should be 1-20, not 1-30. An Addendum will not be issued as it is too close to the bid date*
