Hegins Township reserves the right to award to the most responsible Bidder on Bid Schedule and reject any part of and/or all Bids as it may best serve the interest of Hegins Township. Hegins Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularities, and to negotiate contract amounts. Prevailing Wage Rates are required to be paid per State Regulations. The Work related to the Tri-Valley Swimming Pool Parking Lot Improvement Project comprises the repairs of cracks in the existing parking lot and driveway, clean out along all curbs, sweep and vacuum full lot, milling and paving of the existing driveway and connection to existing ADA ramp, sealing all edges, lawn restoration, workmanship and all appurtenances for a complete job and in accordance with PennDOT Pub 408 and RC Standards and the Contract Documents. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total Bid price, payable to Hegins Township as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly obtain the required Bonds and Insurance, prepare the required submittal documents and execute the Agreement. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit, Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause and the Workers Compensation Certificate with the bid. All Bids shall remain irrevocable for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of Bid opening, or as allowed by law. Bids shall be submitted upon forms furnished by the Engineer, Peters Consultants, Inc. The Work to be constructed hereunder is located at the Tri-Valley Community Swimming Pool Parking Lot, located at 306 S. Goodspring Road, Hegins, PA 17938. The Work comprises the repair to the existing parking lot and driveway, including removal of debris and sediment, milling, tack coat, scratch course, lawn restoration, workmanship and all appurtenances for a complete job. There shall be no pre-bid walk through of the Project Site. Question Deadline 08/29/2025 All communications relative to this Work shall be directed to the Engineer no less than 5 calendar days prior to opening of Bids. All questions relating to interpretation of the Contract Documents or proposed products must be submitted at least 5 calendar days prior to the scheduled Bid opening date and any response requiring a change in the Contract Documents shall be in the form of written addenda to the Contract Documents. Crack repairs shall consist of pressure air blowing out of all cracks, filling crack to adjacent surface with Sika Crack Filler for asphalt, install Petrotac paving strip membrane geotechnical fabric, and apply per manufacturer's recommendation.
