The City of Cookeville, Tennessee, an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer, seeks to retain the services of a professional consultant engineering firm to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services related to improvements along Interstate Drive from South Willow Avenue to South Jefferson Avenue, and along South Jefferson Avenue from Interstate Drive to South Walnut Avenue. This project is funded in part by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and shall be accomplished in accordance with TDOT Local Programs guidelines. The professional consultant engineering firm and all sub-consultants must be on TDOT's pre-approved list. The primary consultant and any sub-consultants expected to perform work exceeding an estimated one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in fees must have unlimited status. Responsibilities of the professional consultant firm include, but are not limited to: Required Scope of Services The selected consultant will provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for the construction of sidewalks along Interstate Drive from South Willow Avenue to South Jefferson Avenue, and along South Jefferson Avenue from Interstate Drive to South Walnut Avenue. The work will include installation of a minimum two-foot grass buffer strip and curb and gutter, as well as construction of crosswalks, necessary stormwater drainage improvements, traffic and pedestrian signals, and retaining walls where required. The total project length is approximately 1.57 miles, and all work shall be performed in accordance with applicable TDOT Local Programs Development Office guidelines, specifications, and requirements.
