The scope of this project is to replace the existing sound system in the outdoor amphitheater. The city desires an outdoor system for audio professionals to utilize for rentals, concerts, movies, and presentations. The system is intended to be installed so customers can come in and utilize the system as a full audio reinforcement solution or to supplement their own audio gear. List of desired functionality below. B. While the City is setting desired functionality, the Proponent may propose alternate solutions or configurations that they feel will better suit the City's need for audio reinforcement in the amphitheater. Attached as Exhibit D are the existing plans as a reference. i. Existing Sound System 1. The existing Sound System has three loudspeakers, and two subwoofers mounted on existing trussing above the stage for coverage of the concrete seating area of the amphitheater. The loudspeakers are double 15" two-way speaker boxes while the subwoofers are double 15" speakers. 2. The grass area is currently covered with a quantity of four, two-way, 12" loudspeakers mounted on poles. These are setup as delay speakers to provide additional reinforcement to the back of the amphitheater. 3. There are currently 5 amps controlled via a drive rack crossover in the ticket office to the power the speakers through existing conduit. 4. There is a patch panel on the side of the stage for customers to use to tie into the system. ii. Replacement System Requirements (Desired Functionality) 1. The amphitheater will be used to house events and rentals. The types of events can range from a small single person presentation to a full band with heavy reinforcement required. With events ranging from audiences of 10 to more than 200 people the system must be easy for customers to use and configure as they need. Desired functionality includes: a. Audio reinforcement of the amphitheater with the ability to use any of the zones (front speakers, delay speakers, and subs) in any combination they desire. b. Automated amp and zone management so customers only have to tie into the system via the patch panel to run the system. iii. The City requires five-year warranty coverage on all equipment and services within this project. CITY PROFILE A.
