Proposals will be received for the following classes ofwork: General Contract (All Trades) (Est. $484,000.00) Failure to acknowledge all addenda may result in the rejection of your proposal. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of the following scope: 1. Renovation of room 248 within the Kettering Laboratory Complex building on the Uptown Campus East of the University of Cincinnati. Work in the space includes selective demolition, new work, new furnishings, and new finishes. Overall limits of the room remain. Scope of work includes all work identified on the bid drawings, specifications, and noted here, including but not limited to: a. Demolition and disposal of all casework except for work indicated to be removed and salvaged or reinstalled. Demolition and disposal of all finishes except for work specifically indicated as not in contract. c. Demolition of other work as indicated; protect existing work to remain from damage. d. Demolition and disposal of fire protection items as indicated. e. Demolition and disposal of plumbing fixtures and piping as indicated. f. Demolition and disposal of mechanical items as indicated. g. Demolition and disposal of electrical and lighting items as indicated. h. Demolition, repair, and replacement of floor and wall areas as required for fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical access, including demolition and installation of new work. i. Furnish and install unit masonry and gypsum board and metal stud wall construction as indicated. j. Furnish and install doors and frames as indicated, including electronic access control. k. Furnish and install stainless steel countertops and base cabinets as indicated and reinstall metal wall cabinets as indicated. l. Reinstall equipment as indicated including filler panels as indicated. m. Furnish and install finishes indicated, including epoxy resin flooring, plastic wall paneling, high-performance coatings, and suspended ceiling with fiberglass-reinforced plastic panels. n. Fire protection work as indicated. o. Plumbing work as indicated; coordinate with owner's equipment supplier. p. Mechanical work as indicated. q. Electrical work as indicated, including new conduit, pathways, lighting controllers, light fixtures, fire alarm cabling and devices, fire alarm programming, data cabling, and face plates for all data and power devices. B. The Project will be constructed under a single prime Contract.
