Project was awarded to US Digital Designs by Honeywell in the amount of $140,892.13 and Precision Electric for $15,806.00. The City of Salina, Kansas is soliciting proposals for the Installation of an access control system in the new Fire Station #4 that is currently being constructed at the intersection of East Crawford and Markley Road in Salina, KS 67401. The City of Salina invites companies to submit proposals describing and proposing the complete installation of an access control system for secure door access at the new fire station #4 in Salina, Kansas. The City's objective is to provide a modern electronic door locking/access system to control building access into the newly constructed Fire Department. As part of this bid, the City requests an add-alternate to be included to install Owner provided electronic door hardware and power/communication harness. A plan view of the access-controlled door locations has been attached, as well as a full project hardware schedule. Scope of Work 1. General o Proposals must be prepared to comply with all state, federal and local requirements for facility ingress and egress in relation to the system that is to be proposed. o A breakdown of cost of equipment, shipping and installation is mandatory. o Electronic door hardware will be provided by the Owner. An add-alternate will need to be provided as part of this proposal for installing all Owner provided electronic door hardware that will be controlled/activated by the access control system that is being proposed. o The City would request all Respondents to schedule with the City a demonstration of the Respondents' proposed hardware and software capabilities. This demonstration can be in person, virtual or by submitted video. Contact the City representative list below to coordinate such requested meeting. A demonstration meeting is not a requirement of the bid but would be encouraged. 2. Minimum Criteria o The Access Control software needs to be cloud/web based for programing user access status, scheduling, and monitoring door activity. o Have the ability for door access visa cell phone, event scheduling, RFID cards, fobs, wristbands, etc. No information or clarification of the meaning of any part of this RFP will be made orally to any respondent. Respondents must request such interpretation or clarification in writing from the respondent to the city by email. The city will circulate to all other respondents the questions and answers.
