Pre-Bid Meeting: Wednesday, September 24, 10:00 AM. Bid Opening: Tuesday, September 30, 2:00 PM. The project consists of installation of a 16' diameter, 117,300 gallon water storage standpipe, decommissioning the existing water standpipe, waterlines, and all other associated work as indicated on the drawings and within the specifications. The project is within Pushmataha County, located approximately 1.2 miles southwest of Finley, Oklahoma. Bid security in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a Surety Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid shall accompany the sealed bid of each Bidder. Bid security shall be made payable to the Pushmataha County Rural Water District #3, as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance. Bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful Bidder. A certified or cashier's check or Bidder's Surety Bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid will be required from each bidders, to be retained as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails, neglects or refuses to enter into said contract for the construction of the project and furnish the necessary bonds within the fourteen (14) calendar days from and after the date the award is made. Each successful bidder shall supply a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed in the State of Oklahoma in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price as part of his contract. The Pushmataha RWD #3 reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the Pushmataha RWD #3, and to reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of sixty (60) days after the bids are open.
