The pond is to be cleaned of material to the o=riginal bottom with the dredged material removed or used to widen the north and south shoreline. The shoreline along Main Street is to bewidened no less than 12 feet but no more than 14 feet with Rip Rap being placed along the newly created slope. The new shore lineis to be 2 feet lower than the road and then 1 foot of Rip Rap and 1 foot of TB added on top of the dredged material. The southshore line should not be widened more than 20 feet with any remaining material deposited in the west point of the pond but maynot obstruct the channel to the back(west) pond or it can be hauled away if so desired. There is to be a silting hole dug where theriver runs into the pond, it is to be 15 feet deep by 20 feet wide by 20 feet long. The pond was drained this spring for bridge repairs and the town would prefer to refill the pond by the fall of 2026 or spring of 2027. There is approximately 4 to 6 feet of material to be removed from the bottom of the pond. The project is expected to begin on or after September 22, 2025, and shall be fully completed by October 31, 2026.
