No definite date for the rebid.** NOTICE FOR BIDS/BID NO. 25-004 Question Deadline 09/18/2025 at 10:00 AM CT Any questions concerning the bid documents must be received by the City no less than ninety-six (96) hours 1. Replacing and installing metal roofing including but not limited to fiberglass tyee metal roof panels, galvanized or stainless steel, or aluminum; 2. Replacing and installing plumbing pipes, vents, skylights, and gas vents, fasteners, seams, flashing all per manufacturers written specifications; 3. Identify and remediate all sources of water infiltration in multipurpose roof, address deterioration of fasteners, sealants and panels; 4. Provide cleaning and rust treatment, and applicable primer(s); 5. Providing all manpower, equipment, work, and disposal of material, as required by City ordinances; and 6. Providing at least a 3-5 year warranty, and/or warranty satisfactory to the City of Canton Contractor must comply and provide all building permits and requirements by City. The above general outline of scope of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings in the Contract documents. Any questions concerning the bid documents must be received by the City no less than ninety-six (96) hours before 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 22, 2025. Federal funds will be used in whole or in part for funding of this project, and thus any contractor will be required to adhere to federal contracting standards and requirements, as required by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to submit a statement of qualifications and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities. When subcontracting, all potential contractors must make positive efforts to use small, and minority owned businesses and women business enterprises. See 2C.F.R. 200.321. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All bidders must comply with and be licensed and qualified for the type of construction being bid upon, as required by the binding state and federal regulating agency. All applicable laws, ordinances and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive and best Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any, and all, informalities, nor does the Owner waive its right to reject any or all Bids. The Owner, City of Canton reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, to negotiate with the lowest and best bidder, to reduce the bid price to come within the funds allocated for the work, and to reduce the job in order to stay within available funding or as desirable in the discretion of the City of Canton Mayor and Board of Alderman, and to accept bids by classes and/or groups, if applicable. The City of Canton also reserves the right to terminate same during the contract period. The City of Canton further reserves the right to consider bids which are made for a period of time which is shorter or longer than that set forth above, when no bids are received for the time period indicated, and when this board deems it in the best interest of the City of Canton to consider bids received for a shorter or longer period of time. In addition, the City reserves the right to waive any informalities. Simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, the Contractor shall furnish bonds subject to the conditions provided in the Contract documents. Liquidated damages will be assessed at a daily rate for each consecutive calendar day the work has not achieved Final Completion. There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this bid. Prospective contractors should send all requests for information as stated above in this advertisement. The successful bidder must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act which requires that all laborers and mechanics shall be paid at rates not less than those determined by the Department of Labor to be the prevailing for the locality in which the project is located. The successful bidder, when applicable, must also comply with the following respective labor policies and regulations; including but not limited to: Build America; Buy America Act enacted as part of the Infrastructure Investment; and Jobs Act (IIJA) Pub. L. 117-58. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract documents. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any, and all obligation in respect to this Bid. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom contract documents have been issued, and whose name appears on the official list of contract document holders whom documents were issued and/or viewed. ** doc info :prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
