This project involves the demolition of existing basewide fire alarm reporting and monitoring equipment and the design and installation of Monaco Fire Alarm Radio Transmitters, exterior wall-mounted antennas, and associated components across multiple buildings at NAS Oceana and Dam Neck Annex. The work includes modifying existing Monaco Fire Alarm Radio D-21 head-end equipment programming software at NAS Oceana Building 320 and Dam Neck Annex Building 525. Most construction is interior, with limited exterior work for antenna installation, ground rods, and bonding to existing lightning protection systems. The goal is to improve the reliability of life safety system communications due to the deterioration of the basewide underground copper phone line system. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, and the contract completion time is 546 calendar days from the task order award date.
