Craven County is soliciting sealed bids for the rehabilitation or reconstruction of privately-owned homes funded through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency's Essential Single-Family Rehabilitation Loan Pool (ESFRLP). Contractors must carry current general liability insurance, and workers' compensation if required by law. For projects of $40,000 or more, a valid North Carolina General Contractor's License (Residential or Building classification) is required. Contractors performing work on homes built prior to 1978 must also provide proof of EPA Lead Renovator Certification and firm certification. All contractors must be in good standing and not listed on the federal or state debarment lists. This project is funded by NCHFA through the ESFRLP Program. All work must comply with the program's administrative guidelines, local building codes, and applicable environmental and lead safety standards. Craven County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder as determined by the Program Administrator.
