The Projects scope of work consists of the identification of the materials of existing water service lines in various areas of the Northwestern Water & Sewer Districts service area. The purpose of the project is to identify these water services that contain lead service line material. Bids will be received fora single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All bids must be signed and submitted on the blanks which are bound in this booklet. Bids must state the unit prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked-2025-2026 Lead Service Line Identification Project and addressed to the Northwestern Water and Sewer District, 12560 Middleton Pike, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashiers check or letter of credit in favor of the Northwestern Water and Sewer District in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. The Northwestern Water and Sewer District may reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of a bid that does not affect or destroy competitive bidding. In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to award a contract. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60)days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The estimated cost of construction is $500,000.00.
