Filter Media Replacement Question Deadline 09/05/2025 at 12:00 AM CT The City of Elgin is seeking bids for the replacement of GAC Filter Media at its Riverside Water Treatment Plant. The project will consist of removal and disposal of approximately 1,090 cu. ft. of spent GAC from each of two filters [Filters #5 and #7] at Riverside; work on the Roberts IW-20 Unisweep wash arm. The nozzles used on the wash arms are a Leopold (Xylem) product, installation of fine filter sand (if necessary) and virgin GAC into the same two filters as described in the Detailed Specifications below.
