As of November 24, 2025, this project is still in the conceptual phase. A design firm is expected to be selected in February of 2026. Architect-Engineer (A/E) services are required for Project 667-26-100 to renovate the 2N Laboratory at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. The scope includes design of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service spaces to improve efficiency and turnaround time, especially in constrained hospital environments. Services will cover professional field inspections during construction, review of submittals, responses to RFIs, and support for contract changes including drafting statements of work and cost estimates. Firms must demonstrate qualifications in architecture, structural, mechanical/plumbing, electrical engineering, and interior design, with experience in similar VA hospital projects. Evaluation criteria include professional qualifications, specialized experience, past performance, construction period services, capacity to complete work on schedule and budget, geographic knowledge of Central Louisiana, and commitment to using SDVOSB/VOSB subcontractors.
