Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Westville, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This Project Consists of Work Across Four Lots Owned by the Westville Area Fire Protection District (Wafpd). The Scope Includes Con-struction of a New Pre-engineered Metal Building and Metal Panel Clad Masonry Addition on Cast-in-place Concrete Foundations, Which Will Add Vehicle Apparatus Bays, a Training Room That Doubles as an Icc 500 Rated Storm Shelter, Storage, Restroom and Laundry Facilities. Portions of the Concrete Aprons at the Existing Facility Will Be Replaced, and the Existing Building Generator and Radio Tower Will Be Re-located. A Portion of the Existing Apparatus Bays Will Be Remodeled to Expand Kitchen and Dayroom Space. Existing Mep Systems Will Be Up-graded to Accommodate the New Structure. The Project Contains Four Bid Alternates to Upgrade Finishes Throughout the Existing Facility and Add a Concrete Parking Lot to the West Site. Bid Security Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid in the Amount of Five (5) Percent of the Bid Amount. A Separate Ftp Site Will Be Made Available to the Successful Bidder for the Duration of Construction. Bidders Must Be Properly Licensed Under the Laws Governing Their Respective Trades and Be Able to Obtain Insurance and Bonds Required for the Work. A Performance Bond, Separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a Form Acceptable to Owner Will Be Re-quired of the Successful Bidder. The Owner Requires All Contractors and Vendors Doing Business With the Owner Not to Discriminate Against Anyone on the Basis of Race, Age, Color, Religion, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Ancestry, Non Job-related Handicaps or National Origin. Westville Area Fire Protection District (Wafpd) Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any and All Bids, and to Waive Any and All Informali-ties in the Bidding. After Receipt of Bids and Completion of the Review Process, Westville Area Fire Protection District (Wafpd) May Award a Contract to the Bidder That, in Its Opinion, Will Provide a Combination of the Best Services and Reasonable Cost. Successful Bidders Shall Be Re-quired to Observe the Fair Employment Practices Commission Rules Pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity, and Comply With the Illi-nois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 Ilcs 130/1 Et Seq.., and Use Wage Determination as Determined by the Illinois Department of Labor, Conciliation, and Mediation Division Dated 07/15/2025. These Wages Will Remain in Effect Until Superseded by a New Determination. Bids Will Be Held Good for a Period of Sixty (60) Days Subsequent to the Opening of Bids. No Bids May Be With-drawn for a Period of 60 Days After Opening of Bids. Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Informalities and Irregularities The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
