Watertown Housing Development Corporation, an instrumentality of the Watertown Housing Authority, in its capacity as managing member and acting on behalf of 103 Nichols LLC, the Owner and Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the construction of 103 Nichols Ave Group Home at 103 Nichols Ave, Watertown, MA 02472. The project consists of the construction of a new 2-story, 5-bedroom group home on a vacant site to serve adults with developmental disabilities at 103 Nichols Ave in Watertown. All bids are subject to Federal minimum wage rates as required by the Federal Department of Labor prevailing wage decision for Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Residential Construction type, and included in the project specifications. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to 103 NICHOLS LLC. A 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond will be required for the awarded contract. This project is exempt from certain State procurement requirements per MGL c.121B 34 and DOES NOT require filed-sub bids or DCAMM certification. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the vacant property at 103 Nichols Ave, Watertown, MA 02472 at their own convenience. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process if it is in the public interest to do so. The Awarding Authority also reserves the right to reject the bids if less than three bids are received.
