Renovation of a municipal facility in Norman, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,616-square-foot municipal facility.
Install a new epoxy floor coating system, carpet tiles, and paint walls at the Norman NOR40 building located at 3620 24th Ave NW Norman, OK. Allows zero unit prices and labor Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor Yes Deliver to the Owner - Construction and Properties (CAP) proper bid security as required by the Bid Documents. (Required if bid is more than $100,000). Bid Bonds must contain original signatures and have a "Power of Attorney" attached. Copies of Bid Bonds are not acceptable. Checks must be either a certified or a cashier's check. If an Irrevocable Bid Letter of Credit is used, it must be complete, and on the form provided by the Owner. In submitting the bid, it is understood that the right is reserved by the State of Oklahoma to reject any and all bids, and it is agreed that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of closing of same. Work is to start within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice to Proceed/WORK ORDER. If the bid exceeds $100,000, it shall be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check made payable to the State of Oklahoma, or a Corporate Surety Bond of a surety company duly authorized to do business in the State of Oklahoma, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid (unless otherwise specified in the bid documents) which is submitted as bid security, conditioned upon the Bidder's entering into a contract with the State of Oklahoma in accordance with the terms of the bid. It is agreed that said bid security of the successful bidder will constitute liquidated damages, and not a penalty for the failure of the bidder to enter into a contract in accordance with this bid. We propose to complete this work within 60 days from the date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed/WORK ORDER. They are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and that they do not discriminate in any of their business or employment practices To furnish all necessary Project Management, Superintendence, labor, machinery, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and appurtenances to complete all the Work upon which is within these Contract Documents. Any required overtime and similar costs to complete the Project within the above stated days, is included. This project includes installation of carpet squares and rubber cover base as applicable. This project includes painting of all sheet rock interior walls. This project includes removing the existing surface coatings (VCT, vinyl composition tile, carpet) to provide an acceptable substrate for the specified installation; preparing the surface profile in accordance with manufacturer's requirements; making repairs to the floor, as necessary, to provide a professional finished appearance and prevent accelerated wear; and applying a new slip resistant epoxy floor coating system. The area(s) to receive carpet is approximately 3800 square feet. The area to receive epoxy flooring is approximately 1616 square feet. The areas to be painted will be determined at the mandatory pre-bid meeting Removal of existing flooring materials, repair work and installation of the new epoxy floor coating system and new carpet shall follow all applicable codes. All products shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. For epoxy floor colors, grit, flakes, topcoat specifications, see section 19 below. A drawing with measurements is attached, however, field verification of measurements is recommended. TThe areas to receive epoxy floor coating is the entry way and hallways in the building. Removal and proper disposal of existing flooring materials and cove base. R Responsible to clean and prepare the existing concrete flooring in order to accept the epoxy coating system. Contractor will install 4" rubber cove base after installation of the epoxy flooring is complete. Color for cove base will be brown. The contractor is responsible for providing an acceptable substrate for the specified installation. All cracks, holes and flooring imperfections are required to be properly repaired to ensure a smooth, finished appearance and to prevent accelerated wear.
