Parkland and Spanaway Wellness Project Pierce County is seeking to fund a program or project that employs evidence-based solutions that focus on people, places, and policy to improve the quality of life, health, and well-being of people who reside in or near the Parkland and Spanaway areas. Background The Pierce County Council has appropriated $500,000.00 towards community health initiatives. Specifically, a program or project whose mission is to improve the overall health, quality of life, and longevity of residents in the Parkland and Spanaway areas by creating supportive environments where healthy living becomes the easy and accessible choice. The objectives of the selected program or project will be to: Increase healthy life expectancy among residents. Improve community health and well-being indicators. Reduce preventable chronic disease rates. Strengthen social connections and sense of belonging. Create policy, system, and environmental changes that promote healthy living. Question Submission Deadline:November 14, 2025, 4:00pm Proposal Evaluation: Approximately three weeks after proposal submission deadline, proposals will be evaluated and interviews may be held if multiple proposers are deemed capable of meeting the requirements. Estimated Notice of Intention to Negotiate a Contract: Approximately six weeks after proposal submission deadline. Estimated Date of Contract Execution : Approximately eight weeks After proposal submission deadline.
